The Coverly Physical Therapy Story
I became interested in Physical Therapy when I was a freshman in high school. I hurt my knee while playing basketball. After seeing a number of physicians and told to return to activity, only to have the knee “give out” on me, I was sent to a physical therapist. The therapist did his evaluation and explained that he had a torn ACL and meniscus. Unfortunately, he was right. I have had 4 operations on the knee. I started doing volunteer work with a physical therapist in his home town of Lancaster, PA at that time and fell in love with it. I attended University of Pittsburgh for his pre PT course work and then transferred to Boston University for Physical Therapy training. Following school, I decided to move to Denver, Colorado to start my career. As a youth, my family had taken two vacations to Colorado and the mountains drew me in. I started at Rose Medical Center in one of their out-patient clinics and stayed there for 9 great years. In 1997 I moved across town to Back and Sports Injury Physical Therapy, a private practice specializing in manual physical therapy. I started to teach manual therapy classes with Manual Therapy Seminars at that time. In 2002, Coverly Physical Therapy was born at 1550 S. Pearl Street in Denver. I have continued my love for Physical Therapy and Manual Therapy ever since. I invite you to give me a call at 303-778-7246 to schedule an appointment to see what I can do for you.
